September 27- October 1

Construction Grade 6:  Last day of this rotation is Friday October 15. Students who have not completed their safety poster need to get that in as soon as possible, it is past the due date. Toy ideation - due October 7 Toy Plan - due October 7 Toy build - due October 14 Construction Grade 7, 8 & 9 A B and C Most students have completed the safety unit Currently we are working on the first project ideation and prototype plan -due next week Next students are learning about how to create a material list for their project and learning to use the tools in preparation of beginning our first project build Electro-Technology Students have gone through some basic safety information and completed a safety project on Scratch - due early this week.  Students have begun learn about Arduino micro controllers and programing language Next students will be introduced to breadboards and how to use a serial monitor

September 20 - 24

Construction Grade 6: last week students finished their safety projects and completed the safety test.  This week they are designing their toy project and beginning to use the hand tools. Construction Grade 7, 8 and 9 A, B and C: Students have completed their safety projects and their safety test.  Any students who didn't pass will be retaking their test next week.  We have begun talking about the properties of wood in preparation of designing our first project. Electro-technology Grade 9: Students have been working on a safety animation or game using Scratch.  The deadline has been extended to next class, Tuesday September 28.

Welcome Back

I'd like to welcome back all of the students.  In these first few weeks we are welcoming the students back. Developing our routines and starting to learn about how to operate safely in the Construction & Design Studio.   This blog is designed to be a place where parents can come to get an overview of what their child is doing in my class.  For more detailed information about projects and resources please visit students Google Classroom.
